NOT TESTED

A live WebRTC ICE-candidate test compares public addresses gathered by your browser with the IP observed by DI VPN. Local addresses and mDNS names are reported separately.

Your test results will appear here. Nothing runs until you press the button.

Full tests run only after you start them. Public tools need no extension. An optional extension status check may run in Chrome. Results are not saved to your DI VPN account.

What this tool checks

WebRTC uses ICE and STUN to discover possible peer-to-peer paths. A public candidate that differs from the address used for ordinary HTTPS requests can indicate that WebRTC traffic is taking another route.

How to run the test

  1. Connect to a DI VPN server in Chrome.
  2. Keep the DI VPN extension enabled and open this page in the same Chrome profile.
  3. Select Run WebRTC test. The browser gathers ICE candidates for a few seconds.
  4. Compare the candidate list with the current HTTPS exit IP shown in the result.
Important limitation

No public candidate is not proof that every app is protected. Some browsers hide local addresses with mDNS and some VPNs block non-proxied UDP. The browser sends ICE/STUN checks to public Google and Cloudflare STUN infrastructure; the test and its results stay on this DI VPN page, with no navigation to a third-party test site.
