No-Logs Policy
What we mean by “no logs”: no records of your browsing activity, with limited connection information needed to operate the service.
1. What our no-logs policy means
DI VPN's no-logs commitment concerns browsing activity. We do not intentionally record which websites or pages you visit, your browsing history, search terms, DNS lookups or the content of traffic passing through the VPN tunnel.
“No logs” does not mean that the website, payment system or VPN service stores absolutely no operational records. Some temporary technical data is necessary for connecting, enforcing limits and preventing abuse.
2. Temporary connection information
For active connections and a limited period after disconnecting, operational session records may include the account/device or session identifier, the selected server or route, connection and disconnection times, duration, amount of data transferred and the exit IP used to verify connectivity.
These records are not a list of destinations or websites visited. They support tunnel operation, service diagnostics, concurrency limits and traffic allowances.
3. How long connection records remain
The account Profile setting offers connection-level log retention from 30 minutes (default) up to 6 hours. Ended account-linked session records are subject to automated purging under that setting. Active session data may remain for as long as the connection needs it.
Minimal aggregate usage counters may be retained for the relevant allowance period, so deleting short-lived session records does not reset traffic limits. These totals are not browsing history.
4. Website, infrastructure and third parties
Website access, authentication and infrastructure security systems may process IP addresses, request timestamps and technical diagnostics. CDN, hosting, advertising and payment providers can have their own data handling and retention policies; the VPN account retention selector does not control those providers.
Our No-Logs Policy therefore should not be read as a promise that every network or infrastructure component maintains zero records.
5. Your controls and more information
You can review the available connection-retention setting in your account Profile and request account deletion using the available account controls. Some records, such as legally required payment and invoice data, may have separate retention requirements.
For the full list of data categories, retention exceptions, user rights and contact details, please read our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
